I had a great weekend - thanks Cath.
I am told I fell over in Carol and Mark's (Carma) awning trying to get out of it on Friday but I can't remember doing it. Might have something to do with the box of red wine that I caned LOL
Was great to see some faces from a past meet.
Am looking forward to doing another one but need to givemy liver and kidneys some TLC LOL
Sorry I never got round to meeting everyone but hey ho - sometimes that will happen if we are all spread out.
Hope to see some of you again soon

Well, what a weekend!
The weather wasn't too bad when I arrived and I set to to put my tents up (call me "Tel Two-Tents") amidst hoots of derision from Cath, Dean, Julie, Robyn, Zoe and Catherine, who stood by shouting rude comments about my abilities as a camper and my inability to get it up. Eventually they took pity on me and had the whole shebang up in record time.
Much socialising occurred thereafter and any references to me blowing up my air bed at 01:30 are lies and calumny, and the fact that it was flat again by 03:30 is a figment of other people's fevered imaginations. Sadly, Julie had to leave on Friday morning which was a real shame, it was all Zoe's fault!
Friday afternoon all the riff-raff started to arrive, but luckily they couldn't pitch on the field with the elite campers and had to be spread around amongst the seasonal pitches. A bit of a shame really as we didn't have a central area to get pis.. I mean congregate in for meaningful and erudite conversation. It was a case of wander from awning to awning to tent to tent getting steadily more inebriated, sorry, educated along the way.
Mind you, the riff-raff were lucky that they had us tenters to shelter behind 'coz it was just a bit windy with the odd snowstorm, hailstorm and a few inches of rain for good measure. Your average UKCS meet really. I think everyone managed to get away without frostbite, hypothermia or terminal fungal infections, though I did have a dreadfully runny tummy on Monday, I never knew I could be so grateful to a Porta-Potti! Anyway, Sunday afternoon and everyone except Cas and Colin had buggered off and left me, Billy-no-mates with the field to myself. I didn't even get the chance to say goodbye to Colin on Monday as I had an urgent appointment with the Porta-Potti.
Tuesday morning it was howling down with rain so I was looking forward to a very wet few hours. Luckily it dried up more or less, so I got everything packed away without getting soaked. Mind you, the tents are still wet, but I can dry them out at Brandy Wharf (Yeah! I'll bet!)
Thanks to everyone who turned up for making it a really great weekend despite the weather and thanks to Cath for organising it. See you all again soon!
HISSING SID! WHERE WERE YOU?
