Maryport Blues Festival, 25th - 27th July 2008
The UK's premier Blues Festival takes over the town for its 10th anniversary.  With a main stage  marquee capacity of 2000 and legendary headline acts such as Chuck Berry, Jimmie Vaughan and Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra - this year could be the best ever.

Tickets:
Weekend: £95
Fri 25th July: £35
Sat 26th July: £45
Sun 27th July: £45
Trail bands: Weekend £12 / per day £5

Unfortunately there isn't any camping with this one Daisy.

There are plenty of campsites around and near Maryport though.

For me it's a bit too expensive - but given that Chuck Berry etc are going to be there then its still a good price i suppose when one takes into consideration just how much it would cost to see one of the acts by themselves.

I only live 10 mins up the road from Maryport so if someone really really wants to go but cant afford the weekend as well as the camping then they can crash at mine for the duration.

Yeah i know im an angel and perhaps i should be put up for a knighthood - lol - but thats the kind of guy i am. If we can't help each other out then its a sorry world we live in.

Hi John, I'm quite interested in this, tho would have to persuade my OH cos its not his kind of music really.  Could you email me and let me know more about it?  Also quite interested in the cockrck thing too - and thats more likely to be OH's thing!

I love all kinds of music apart from country and modern jazz so tell your OH to stop been so fussy - lol. Wish i had seen your post earlier but i hope the links help in some way.
