Anyone going anywhere.

Daughters birthday and were hoping to go somwhere failry near where other children would be going.

Fairly near being Lakes/Borders/Yorkshire/Northumberland area (2hrs away max)

We are going to Hoddam Castle, Dumfries 19-21 Sept.  If anyone else is going we'll be the ones on friday afternoon trying to figure out how to put up a Kyahm Tourer (or might take the Hartford).

If anyone else will be there please come and say hello - girls are (will be) 10 and 11 (12)yrs and very happy to make new friends for the weekend.

have u been to that site before just we are looking for sum where to go that same weekend for oh birthday,had a look at website and it looks lovley so we might end up joning you.we have 3 kids 2 girls 14 &11 and a boy 7

Never been before but thought it looked good from website too and not too far away from home if need be.

Going to phone and check before going as have been told there was some flooding at the same time as Bruces meet was on (beg of Aug??).

Dave P65 did you go to Lakeland and if so is it as bad as the reviews as we have just booked to go from 18th oct for 4 nights in tent with ehu for 26.20 then read the reviews and thinking ooops what have we done

Hello !!

Just come back from this site - we stayed in a caravan tho !

We did want to check the touring bit out and as always time runs away from you - we enjoyed the site and the facilities was fine - the staff helpful !!  - thats probably as much as i can say - cant comment on the camping pitches !! we used the chippy off site just at the other end of moor lane - its was really good !! give it a whirl !!

Hope you get more help with the nitty gritty of the camping side !!

Dave has posted somewher else (think it was Camping Under Canvas?) about his trip.  If I remember right he said it was good, weather was great but I don't recall him mentioning the state of the camping field.
