Just wanted to introduce ourselves as hopefully we shall be able to get along to some of your meets in the future,  We have a 1981 Swift Danette and also a 1964 Thomson Glenelg which we have recently purchased and are very excited in bringing it home to start refubishing soon! Are there many children around at your meets? We have 3 and they love to meet new friends to play with!

I have just finished the renovation of our 1985 swift corvette and its all on my website .

we used to have a 1974 Danette  many years ago, I remember it had a built in cooler box in the middle of the floor.

Enjoyed looking at your website, its great to see there are people out there enjoying caravans from the eighties, I love the older vans and think they have so much more character!  I ve been looking for a 1980's caravan owners club but don't think one exists,(Yet!!!).

We haven't had the Danette long and there is abit of work needs doing (haven't got the damp meter out yet), we are looking for an original set of curtains and a toilet compartment sink if anyone knows where I could start looking, I've tried breakers yards and think I shall have to resort to maing some as close as possible to original design.

Bonxi...Welcome to the forums...in answer to your question re kids at the meets..any ones I've been on have had loads of kids there...have a look at some of the pics in the meets gallery... Then book a meet...Im sure you and the family would love it.......
