Hi again

We are planning on going here at some in August. Got it on recommendation of a work colleague of OH's and she goes quite a bit. only problem is no caravans.

If you read the reviews one is a touring caravan and one is a motorhome. Have the site changed what they accept??

If you read all the info on their own web site then you come to the conclusion that it is probably not all that suitable for caravans and motorhomes as access is not the best for these units/ Steep and narrow.

If you read the review by the caravanner or the motorhomer you will see they say that those units are not discouraged but just that they are not activley encouraged. I don't think there are many hardstandings for units.

It seems a basic no nonsense site and not for those who like luxury camping - the nearby village is within walking distance and they encourage you to walk down to it rather than take your car.

We are going with the tent so no need for us to worry

It was jsut that Donna has a van and that's why I said it.

From reading the web site and the reviews I wouldn't fancy towing the van to there.

Didn't mean for anyone to be put off by my remarks - mind you that would mean more spce for us

Who knows maybe some of you will join us there - first full week of August(mon-sat)

Found the bit I was looking for

To find us.. you will need to come into the village centre of Llanberis, travel along the main high street, you will need to find Capel Coch Road, its signposted for the Youth Hostel, turn onto this road, stay on this road, it turns into Ceunant street, just keep on coming up the hill. It is a narrow lane, and quite steep. Unsuitable for caravans or very large campervans. It is tarmaced and does have passing places, so is suitable for cars and vans.Unsuitable for caravans or very large campervans.

Not booked anywhere for August yet but am going to http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=2045

Windermere at Easter and if it's nice I'm going to book up for August, unless anyone organises something. I'm located near Blackpool so I don't want to be driving for more than a couple of hourse to get anywhere. Not been on a meet before but it would be nice to meet up with other families.

Should also add that we are not going to that site anymore in August but are going to the one in my signature instead - Brynawelon Caravan and Camping Park (Cardiganshire or Ceredigon).
