We are thinking of getting away in the van at Christmas for the first time. Does anyone have a site within an hours drive from the Pontfract / Wakey area with good abloutions on site and open all over the chrimbo season, that they would kindly recomend.

Many thanks Reedrider, looked at that as we did go there many years ago in the tent, looks to have improved a heck of a lot ! Just a tad to far for what we have planned, this will be a first for us being in the van at Christmas   We have booked on at The Ranch, nr Selby, once again many thanks & have a great Christmas !!!

have a lovely time there, we used to go there quite often but on a special meet this year we had a bit of a fall-out, so not going there again!!

however, the festive spirit may prevail for you!!

We are just planning on a nice quite break as Jean does not want to be home as it is the first Christmas without her Mum, who used to be a regular at our house on Christmas Day, hence our first in the van for this special time of the year.  As Dave Allen would say "who ever your Lord is, may he be with you".
