Hi we're going to Park Cliffe Windermere Site for 10 nights on 26 June 2009. Me, my wife and 2yr old daughter and baby daughter.

Is anybody else going?

Me again Carl lol

Within 10 mins of being on site the girls had made and brought back at leat 2 'friends' each. It is really good for children of all ages - the play area and equipment is good too, something for all (mainlyolder children bue swings for your 2 year old and climbing things for her too)
I found during summer it was always full of children of all ages.

You are going to love it.

Are you in a van? or a tent?

Hi Keely!!

You really are a wealth of info lol!!

Sounds great, there's nothing like the Lake District is there! You're lucky to live there! We had an amazing time at Park Foot Ullswater camping for 10 days last year so we are resuming our exploration this year.

We will be going in tent as usual.

Are you camping this year?

Cheers Carlx

you are more than welcome - it's good if someone can suggest things.

When we went to Dumfries area last year Gerry Hughes from on here helped us a lot with suggestions of places to go and we would never have found them without his help and my daughter had a great birthday.

Yes we are hoping to try out our Cabanon Andorra for a night or two (weather dependant) at Feb half term.

We are trying to get somewhere booked for Easter with friends we met from on here and we have booked for Llanberis in August - hoping to try a bit of Snowdon.

Will prob do Octobr half term again this year and if we have enough holidays over a couple of weekends for each of the girls birthdays.

Ullswater is a little nearer to me than Windermere. Some fantastic walks from there. Did you visit Aira Force?
Do you have any other trips planned?

Hi Keely!

We didn't visit Aira Force but had heard a little about it.

Yes we hope to get to Callowtop again in Ashbourne Peak District, an amazing site near to the very busy town.

Also we may stay in a caravan at Skipsea Sands before May, it's one of those £9.50 Sun newspaper promotions! Thought we should try it. Be easier with the girls in a caravan probably! Our youngest is 1 in May and our other daughter is 3 in September.

Xmas we have a 2 week stay booked at Skegness Butlins in an appartment. We stayed for 5 days Xmas just gone and it was the most amazing time, it has to be done every xmas now!!!

I would try it!

Aira Force is superb not far to walk from the car park or you can see it higher up by following a path down from the side road that runs up from the lake side road.
