Well, having not been away over the winter months we are off to Delamont next weekend. Been out to the van this morning checking everything is ok and it is. Was going to wash it but I'm loaded with the cold at the moment and its snowing! Asked for a half day on Friday but was unable to get it so lets hope I get finished at a reaonable time.

Anyone else heading away anywhere?

Oh and did I mention I'm off all the following week using the last of this years holidays?

Paul

Hi Paul

Lucky you heading off.  We are for Delamont at Easter. Haven't got anything planned before that 'yet'.   Let us know if we have new site managers or if anything has changed.

Enjoy your weeks holidays!

Hi Paul we are heading to Drumaheglis on Friday 13th for the weekend, lucky you having another week off!

We were in Tollymore last weekend, half term weekend and over Christmas. At this time of the year it is lovely in Tollymore before it is invaded by the masses..

Enjoy Delamont, hope you get nice weather..

Wendy

We're just back from Sixmile Water Park.  Had a great weekend.  Reasonable turn out, of the 20 pitches, 12 where being used.  Bit of a difference than Tollymore the previous weekend when it was near enough full bar perhaps 10 pitches.

Roll on the 09 season!!!

we stayed at Foyleside caravan park at Quigley's Point in Donegal by accident this w/end Had booked into Elaghvale caravan park in Londonderry and it turned out to be more like a building site than a campsite (work in progress)so we were lucky enough to get into the other site even though there not open to tourers till April. The owner Maureen was away for the w/end but she gave us the keycode for the gate and told us to throw the money through the letter box. How trusting is that!!!!!!,certainly saved our w/end,thought we were going to have to go home.
Will definitely go back again

Hi everyone just back from a great weekend at Delamont. Weather was great and the dog is glad to get home for a rest! Around 22 vans there and we were allowed to stay until 3pm today. A sign had been placed in the toilet block to inform us of this which I thought was a good idea. So no rush to pack up and leave.

Judith and Vinny are the managers, who were there at the tail end of last season, and they seemed pleasant enough and helpful. I heard Vinny shouting at some boys on the Saturday night as they had unfortunately chose to chase each other round the site managers caravan. Just right I thought as the campsite and adjacent park allows plenty of room without playing around others caravans. Other than that they seemed fairly relaxed, though the site wasnt busy.

The toilets are as spotless as ever and the ground seemed quite firm and not too mucky.

If you havent been to the country park for a while try the "fresh air fitness" gym. This consists of various gym equipment dotted around the different walks and beside the adventure playground. It is very well done to blend in with the surroundings and provides alot of laughs for the not so serious keep fitters! There are rowing machines, monkey bars, back massagers, stride/ski machines etc. all free to use.

We will be booking again for later in the season.

Paul

We had a lovely time there at Easter.  Ground was quite muddy when we arrived, but quickly dried up. It was packed out, but then that's not surprising as it was Easter. Lovely fresh spring flowers in the toilets was a nice touch.
