Hi

We were there - in our tent with ehu.  There were hardly any tents though, all caravans and motorhomes.  Still we had a great time - such a friendly atmosphere in our area (E), It was our first rally of any kind and enjoyed it so much, we'll be going on another one sometime - possibly the national feast of lanterns next year.  Pixieland Norfolk, did you enjoy?

Hi,

Pleased you enjoyed the rally (apart from the equipment).  We too got a suntan, whilst everyone back at home was paddling in the rain!

We stayed at the Hemsby Touring and Caravan Park (next to the Long Beach one).  The site had two fields, one with a portacabin for facilities and the other (which we were on) had a brick built toilets/shower area.  The toilets etc were clean, the site was mostly flat, but nothing special.  An icecream van came round the site at least once a day.  Pitches were spacious with ehu.  A single track road took you down towards the sand dunes and beach, with Hemsby only about 10 mins walk away.  One thing I hadn't seen before though, was in Hemsby, inbetween some of the houses near to the Long Beach site, small plots of land had ehu and spaces were rented out for 1 unit.  It looked quite strange having these tents or caravans pitched inbetween the houses.

Good luck with the tour - Norfolk is a lovely part of the country, we'll be staying somewhere near Sea Palling next year.

Aria

thanks for the site, soundsok hopefully we can go next season.Just getting ready for the bank holiday well we are starting on the sunday and having the first week in september at Agden Hill Farm at Gt Staughton which is near Grafham Water, its for tents and folding campers only.It says it is in a secluded location which could mean its miles from any where but if the weather is right who cares as long as its got toilets and showers.,still packing fleeces and jeans and dont forget bed socks it could be getting chilly late at night.
