Hi John & Lee
I couldnt agree more with the other members - re - meets. You just join in and enjoy.
From my little experience of meets, people are usually very sociable, otherwise, they wouldnt be there, and all will make you welcome.
Just look for the area you may be interested along with any mutual activities, and go with the flow. Not only that, you may end up somewhere, where you probably not thought, about and be pleasantly surprised.
Of course every site has its pros and cons, but it is all part of the experience.
Its our first year of touring, and I am hoping to keep going through the winter, as long as its not arctic!!! Meets are a great way of making it more enjoyable and it keeps the van 'on the road'. No point in having it stuck on the drive for 4\6 months.
Anyway, all you 'solos', give it, give it some thought and go for it!
Regards lavlark
