Hi to all our friends and fellow members
Due to the adverse weather conditions we are going to withdraw from the weekend trip to Eden Camp.
This is not a matter of deserting a 'sinking ship', just common sense. We are a week away now and there is no way we would be towing a caravan from the North East to Yorkshire under present conditions. We have been snowed in for eight days now and the back lane has drifted to over 12" deep in snow. The main roads are manageable in an emergency only. Our daughter's school at Washington has been closed since Tuesday and it is still snowing as I type. Met office forecast is more snow from 1000 today until midnight!
If the 'meet' is postponed, I hope it will be rescheduled. If not, I hope the weekend goes well for those lucky enough to be on the 'doorstep' of Eden Camp.
