Karen

Glad to hear you got sorted with your Sancerre - they seem to be a bit like gold dust at the minute.  Where did you end up getting one from?.  We hope to get ours early next week (from our dealer just up the road) and can't wait either.  Am really looking forward to not having a bed to make up every night (or at least by OH is!).

Only one weekend booked so far (Benone May Bank Holiday Weekend) but hoping to get a few more sorted soon.  Have never been down Cranfield direction.  What is the site like?  What do you call it?

Sharon

Sharon,
Did you get your van sold or did you trade in in?
Hope you have many happy times in it.
We love the fixed bed, makes all the difference, the mattress is much better, especially if your back is not in good shape like my OH.
We are off to France this Saturday morning, would rather be taking the van, but then I hate flying and staying in apartments, but wouldnt make sense for one week. Too far to travel.
Sharon.

No luck with selling it unfortunately, unless someone turns up this weekend.  Probably less of a market for 2-berths  than family vans.  Really can't wait to get the new van now and get away in it.  Wish I was going to France this weekend too (even if it meant getting on a plane).

Am spending this morning looking at the calendar to see when we can get away and trying to get a few weekends booked for May/June (v.quiet in work although I'm sure I could find something to do if I really tried).  Have you anything definite sorted?

Have a great time skiing.

Sharon

Hope you get sorted soon with selling your van.
I am hopefully changing where I currently work at the beginning of May so not quite sure about summer holidays.
So far we have got the following booked -
Juniper Hill for the NW.
Rushin House for the holiday weekend at the end of May.
Devon last two weeks of August??????????????
Watertop Farm sometime in October.
We are thinking of going somewhere on 16th April for the weekend, havent decided where yet.
We got a voucher for a free night with Chestnutt parks when we bought the van. They have sites in Annalong, kilkeel and Cranfield. Are thinking of trying the one at Cranfield but dont know when. Cranfield has a nice beach but there dosent seem to be a lot else there. It is close to kilkeel and Warrenpoint.
Was there ages ago but dont remember much about it, didnt stay.

Hi Sharon

We are for Deighans in Benone on 16 April would love if you could come too.

Going away tomorrow until Easter Tuesday.  Clare Glen this weekend with CCC, then from Tuesday to Friday Gosford then Friday to Tuesday Rushin House, Belcoo.

Have a great time skiing and we will have to get together when you get back.  Tell Jeff to remember what age he is and not to be breaking anything.  Hope you have lots of snow and that we don't.

Carol

Spent yesterday on the phone and got a few weekends booked.  One was actually  Annalong for a weekend in May.  I'll let you know what its like.  The pitches seem to overlook the sea.  It's also got a couple of good reviews on this site.

We are heading to Portballintrae for the weekend in April so if your fancy that.....

Hi Sharon

We have been searching for a while for a fixed bed end bathroom single axle caravan. We couldn't find a second hand one anywhere in N Ireland so decided to look in England but they seem to be like gold dust over there too. Eventually we found what we wanted in Chipping Sodbury Caravans. They were fantastic to deal with we couldn't have asked for better. We decided to make a long weekend out of it and took the ferry from Dublin to Holyhead. We drove down picked up the van and stayed outside Bath for the weekend. We are going to drive back up on Sunday and stay in Holyhead overnight getting the ferry on Monday lunch time.

I hope you get your van next week and are as delighted with it as we are with ours. We had a fixed bed last time but wanted a larger bathroom so not such a big change for us.

We are going to Chestnut in Cranfield West at Easter. It's not a site we use often as it is busy but we are meeting up with friends there. It's within walking distance of the beach and the facilities are clean and well maintained.

Let us know when you get the van. Hopefully someone will turn up to buy your van this week.

Good Luck

Karen
