Sorry this is not a meet up post, but most NI caravanners read this section.  As you are all away delivery to NI is horrendous for anything heavy from the mainland and we have been searching for a good priced Cadac inc delivery.

From Towsure it was going to cost £99 plus £25, from this place £68 plus £4.50 delivery!!  Bit of a difference.  To be honest we just found them on google and then discovered they are from Bangor, you may even be able to buy direct from them in their store if you live that part of the world.

http://www.gasproducts.co.uk/acatalog/Cadac_Gas_Barbecues.html

I decided to add a lid and rang them, they couldn't have been nicer to deal with and Cadac arrived during the week in massive box, now to just play with it!

So if anyone is looking for a Cadac and don't want to be ripped off with postage to NI then this may be of help to you.

Wendy

PS until we looked google I had never heard of them, so no relation lol

Thats a great find Wendy. We were looking at them in Dorvic recently, well he only had one, and looked on the web but as you say the delivery charges were too high. Did you notice that their charges to the "mainland" are free if over £100 or very reasonable if under £100. How can they do it when our friends on the "mainland" cant?

Let us know how you get on with the cadac.

They are only around the corner from LPC in Bangor. I have been using Hamiltons for years (went to school with the guy who runs it) for parts & fittings as I used to fit gas cookers & gas fires. Family run businesses are always more helpful.

I thought the price was good too.  I was very impressed when I called them to add lid, nothing was too much trouble and were very friendly, just how a business should be.  By the way I love the new Cadac, a bit sad, but we did breakfast on it this morning in the garden lol.

We have just bought one too from Hamiltons, came within a day.  We are really ripped off by the postage charges from England to here, we refuse to pay them.

I would like a nice new  lounger recliner this year so if anyone knows where I will get one of those reasonable I would really appreciate it.  I like the one with the EVA armrests.

We got our Cadac from Homestead Caravans in England.  We use them quite regularly as they are very helpful, reasonably priced and most importantly of all do not charge any more for post & pacakge to NI than to anyother part of the UK!  We only paid £4.50 p&p for our cadac which arrived within 3 days of ordering it.  Like many others we refuse to pay exorbitant p&p charges just to get parcels across that very expensive bit of water so finding a company like this is great.

Can't wait.  "someone" just had to get one you know what he is like.  I just want my recliners now so that I can sit and watch him use it.

Will have to organise a weekend soon as we don't have many free ones left.  Think we are in Larne end of June so if we don't get away together you could always pop on over for the BBQ.

I am sure we will see you before that.

We discovered this guy on ebay 2 years ago - he was the cheapest on ebay and then like you we discovered that he was only 10 miles from us! Bonus!!
We just popped down in the car and picked it up and have been having a great time using it since. BTW he has a lot of camping equipment eg camping gas cookers or smaller gas items too
