We were in the non ehu field too,am hopeless at introducing myself,(hubby is worse),dog is great!!! Darran put us down for next year WITH ehu(not too near the kids play area (dog will go nuts wanting to play with them all the time),then will hopefully meet loads of ukcs members..we had a great time regardless, loved seeing all the costumes, entertainment was fab(even the dog settled under the table eventually as he's not used to a lot of people) and the staff were sooooooooooooo great. So big thank you...Cate,Andy and Bailey.

and lots more besides
Oooh old thread been dug up! But yeah, having this year been on the top field rather than in the non EHU it made a massive difference to who I was chatting to. I still made friends last year and had plenty of people to talk to but they just weren't mainly UKCS people, whereas this year it was, which was kinda nice as I knew a few from last year and I vaguely knew people a bit from chatting on here. And it's easier now to *keep* in touch cos everyone is on here somewhere. Definitely watching closely for news for next year....

Ziggy65. I know where you are coming from. I was booked on the meet but at the last minute i had to booked a static. My daughter in law is an amputee and we had quite a few stares at the Marquee which made us feel uncomfertable. Only went a couple of times because of that. I did know a couple of people that i had met before. Having been 'blanked' by many people we decided to stay away for most of the week. Darren and Sue were very good.

thats such a shame that you felt uncomfortable going to the Marquee and that you felt blanked by people its such a shame .
Have to say that I never noticed your group and would certainly never blank anyone.
Ahhh you had the same tent as me Cate - yes I saw yours in the non ehu when I wandered over there to wander down memory lane....
And sorry to hear you felt blanked Glynnis, it can be really hard when you walk into somewhere like the marquee as you don't really want to just plonk yourself down next to a stranger but if they're sitting and so are you then it's hard to strike up a conversation... it's tricky. I found the loos so much better for chatting!!
