No need to be confused. Sometimes I camped with my partner and sometimes on my own. I've two teenage children and try to persuade them to come away for the weekend every now and then but they don't want to know these days. Having said that I'm going to Lone Wolf in October with my Son and my Brother for some almost wild camping...

Bob61 is organising a weekend meet for single/solo campers in Wareham on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 September. I think I'll go to do that, what about you?

One of the benefits of going to a UKCS meet is that there is safety in numbers and the more the merrier. It can be quite daunting for solo campers, male or female, meeting up with others for the first time but my experience of the UKCS campers I have met so far is that they are genuinely nice people.

The owners and staff of Birchwood Tourist Park are the most friendly and helpful people you could meet and always seem to be on hand to help with any problems that may arise...hopefully there won't be any.

I am not sure about the meet being 'organised' - lol, but I am sure we will all muck in and have a good time.

Depending on your tent size, a non EHU will cost you £7.50 or £8.50 per night. I guess that's not bad for a site with full facilities. The thing that concerns me most these days is the cost of petrol! That can make or break a weekends camping for me....

I'll definitely be attending this meet but won't be booking until after pay day....
