2004 was an exceptionally successful year for our members meets totalling up 20 official club meets with probably just as many mini-meets across the UK. A big heart felt thank you goes to all those who were involved in the meets during 2004 in whatever shape of form, we couldn''t have managed it all without you.
With that said, for 2005 we have now put together a team of helpers to ensure that we maximise the season in each area of the country and ensure that the UKCampsite.co.uk grows both on the web and on-site! So I would again like to start by thanking them all for their kind offers of help and the hard they have all put in so far, it has been a real godsend, you can find out who looks after a particular area here.
Well the 2005 Meets Diary is well underway with (to date) 30 Official UKCampsite.co.uk Meets already confirmed and booking underway for them all. The year has already kicked off with the two New Years Eve meets and we have a full diary throughout the year including 3 meets at Easter, meets for both the May Bank Holidays, meets during the summer holidays, into October and we even have one of the New Years Eve Meets for 2005 booked and ready to fill up, so you can see we are certainly going to have a busy year ahead of us with many opportunities for you to meet up off-line as well as on!.
These are only the meets booked as of today (5th January 2005) and I expect that the diary will fill up quite a lot more as the year goes on as meets are suggested and booked up as we go. We are always on the lookout for meet hosts and if you think this is something you would like to try and represent the UKCampsite.co.uk at a meet then please contact us here and we will email back with what is involved.
Once again a big thank you to you all that have attended meets during the last couple of years, without you 2005 would not be looking so busy, and of course a big thank you to the meets team who have all put in much hard work to help us make 2005 a good year.
Please have a look at the meets, register your interest in any that you like the look of and get booked up, some are already close to full, so be quick, space is running out. When you register your interest for a meet you will receive an email telling you what to do next. Registering for a meet doesn''t commit you to anything, just ensures you are kept up to date on the details of the meet, and you know what to do next if you wish to attend.
Cheers and here''s to a great 2005 both off-line and on! Cheers Ratty and Ian
