Huy guys, just come back from another week away at ladies mile, quite nice i must say, but i got to thinking, i wonder if there are any weekend rallies around? especially the southwest. So i had a look and not seen anything. are we short of southwestern caravan owners and tent owners?. I would like to have a weekend away where i could meet a few people and put names to faces.
I have 2 kids (11/13) so nothing to worry about if you have kids. Just wondeering if there was any interest in this. weekends aweay is always better if you can go away and you already know a few people.
Find a suitable (cheap) site and organise your own meet. It is easy to do on here. Site details, date, price and away you go. Make it clear that each individual is responsible for booking their own pitch.
might well do that but would was just testing the waters to see if there was any interest first, seems like the north has quite a following for red squirrel, perhaps not so many southern people use this part of the forum
I went to one in April and enjoyed it (Thank you Paul and Wendy and of course the "pink stuff"). It was a bit far for me from Gloucestershire and I'm running out of holidays to take from work...
But I'd definitely go again if it was nearer just for the weekend. (+ one 6 year old and a hubby who doesn't tow).

Took a break like everyone over covid, flogged the caravan and got a campervan!
Hi All. My husband Trev and I would be interested in a get together. We live in Bodmin and are often away at the weekend, rain or shine. Our children have families of their own and love camping too.
We're up for that too! Weekends would be perfect as no weeks of leave left from work. We haven't used our 'new to us' FC yet either and are itching to get away.
We're looking at the weekend of the 15th Sept....
Me, OH and our 3 year old... the bigger ones don't want to come!

Hi, we're from south wales and have two girls (10/12), new to caravanning so keep to talk to others and find out where the best places to go are.
Desperately, trying to find somewhere close by for New Years Eve, with a bit of entertainment planned but not having much luck!
We're trying out Postin Mill in Hereford in a couple of weeks time. Haven't been there before.
