Well, I'm typing this in the Clachaig where I've retreated for some food.
Only 3 or 4 tents at the Squirrel and the weather is mild and dry - no wind. It's okay, I haven't pitched on your spot, Jim!

Hi Jelboy. There's also free wifi in the Glencoe cafe so the best of both worlds - real and virtual. the campsite is lovely. It's the first time I've got water from a tap in a tree! I've yet to get to grips with the stove. It warms the tent but if I leave the stove door open the smoke comes into the tent and if I close it the fire goes out.
Meet a couple who are caravanning at another site and are planning a barbecue this afternoon!

Ah Sarah just posted on my other thread to ask if you were pitched on my spot! I will be up tomorrow and if there is anyone on my pitch I will be charging rent I have some wood with me (cant get in the car for wood!!) so a nice wee fire tomorrow evening!

I'm going for the 7:00am bus from Glasgow on Friday morning...So should be at Glencoe crossroads around 9:30am...

Obviously as I am back packing I can't bring my share of wood as I usually do...But will pack a log for the fire!!

I am sitting in the Green Welly having a bacon roll and a frothy coffee. Just about to wander into the whisky shop to see what golden goodies they have on offer!
It will take me 20 mins to prise myself back into the car with all the wood I have!

George is bringing some and Pat so we should have enough for a constant fire from thurs til mon !!!

They are hardy souls! They will be just fine! They have that roaring fire, red tinnies and the Clachaig to keep them warm.
