Do you enjoy caravaning by yourselves? Do you get to the site and see a small group together and think that it might be good to have company sometimes with a likewise family.
We live in milton keynes and go within and hr away for a weekend trip.
Its nice just to get the kids ages 14 and 11, hubby and our dog away from the tv, internet etc and get outdoors for some fresh air and a break from the routine. We dont tend to go to places with bars and loud music just like to relax for while until the kids drag us up for tennis or football.
If you think you might like to chat and maybe meet up then contact me.

Exactly the same reason I like to get away. We have four kids 10, 13, 15 & 18 older 3 are girls plus two dogs lol. It gets them out of their rooms and like you say off all the gadgets. We were away just the other weekend and it was great to see my son climbing a tree or the girls sat out the front playing games at one point I think we all had a go at badminton. Off agaiin this weekend to Clumber Park family living nearby.
We are not far from you..in Corby.

Hi thesixkings
Where do you go locally, we have been to Top End farm in Little Staunton Beds, and Brook Meadow in Leicestershire the latter of the two more recently. This past weekend we were at Grendon Lakes, we were warned that there was a festival on and regretted going on the friday night. Its a shame really because its not a bad site just that music, alcohol and all male groups don't mix.
I see you are going away in august we are going to a site near Matlock and then on to Woodhall Spa.
How long have you had a folding camper? we started off in a tent, then pennine sterling FC and now a caravan.
Hi we started off with a 2berth tent then as the family grew so did the tents. We have had the camper for 6yrs but OH and kids are talking about a caravan we shall see.
We have also camped at Brooke Meadow very nice and quiet managed to get youngest to ride his bike. Also been to Tallington Lakes, Stamford (fineshades woods), Ferry Meadows. Have looked at Grendon lakes but think it was fully booked.
May have to cancel our Cornwall trip as OH starts his new job in a couple of weeks.

That's a shame if you had too, I look forward to our trips away even for the weekend, would you not go by yourself? I did tow our folding camper a couple of times but ony as far as olneyi was quite proud of myself.
What sort of things do you like to do whilst you are away?
Do your eldest two still like to come with you, my son does have a bit of a moan sometimes I just think that they grow up so quickly he thinks he can stay at home by himself at his age 14 going on 25, then he gets the "When I was your age" speech......
Us too. We are Ken and Wendy - we like to chat - with a few drinks - possibly pop to a local pub for a meal - If the weather is non too good we like to sit in the awning for a natter and a laugh. If any couple near us (We live in Blackpool) would like to join us on a mini meet sometime please get in touch.

Our eldest 18 leaves for uni in a couple of weeks. The middle two girls really are digging their heels in about camping and hating it.
We went away again bank holiday weekend the first day we told them to get up as we were off out and were camping with friends. After numerous requests and shaking off tent we left them, just took youngest. Came back 3hrs later and still in bed. Gggrrrr!!
I swear they don't mind when actually there it is just the withdrawal symptoms from lack of internet.

32newton we live in swindon so not a million miles away. we have a very busy life in that as i come home from work my wife goes out to work and we dont really get any time to socialise. so we would love to meet up with other people. we have a little girl 3 going on 13 lol. we are fairly limited to when we can go away as my wife works sundays and we have a few things already booked for the rest of the year. we are away this weekend though if you can organise a quick getaway. may be a bit far for you though. we are going to site from friday to monday. same invite goes to anyone else that might fancy meeting up. never been to the site before but got some great reviews and its seems to be fairly well priced as well compaired to a lot of other sites.
