If equality existed, there would be no need for self-organised groups. We still have a long way to go.
Davidkibble - if you are reading this, you are not too far from us in the North West. You and your partner are welcome to join us any time. You can see where we will be in my auto-signature.
Alongside equality is freedom of choice and if somebody wishes to organise a meet for people with particular interests or sexual orientation they should be entitled to do so.
Live and let live is what I say...if gay people want to holiday with other gay people, fine, I don't see what the issue is. If David and his partner don't have other gay friends who enjoy camping, then what is wrong with coming on here trying to find other like minded folk.
As long as no-one is hurting anyone or breaking the law in any way etc, then why should we bother how anyone else wants to spend their time? I certainly couldn't care less...enjoy your holiday David, I hope you can find some new camping friends.
right we are going to Cofton Country Holidays www.coftonholidays.co.uk from the 10th till the 18th may let us know if you can make it let so we can put tea and coffee on and a bbq on the night as long as we know how many too carter for thanks for all the nice comments David
The last time I went to Cofton it was a mid-winter New Years meet, sub zero temperatures, and most of the pitches were waterlogged, but I am sure it will be lovely in May
Not sure if it might now be outside my comfort zone for travelling distance but if I can make it I'll let you know nearer the time...might need something stronger than tea or coffee by the time I get there though...and cake of course
Hi David. I am already away in Jersey in May and then camping at Manorafon. You haven't said what part of the country you live. The south Devon coast is a long, long way for me! As far as catering for others goes, don't worry too much about it because anyone coming will bring food, etc but you might want to have a supply of plastic cups for drinks, and paper plates. Don't forget bin bags, and hand wipes are always useful!
Hi David, hope you have a good trip and some people manage to join you. I'm a wee bit far away but I keep threatening to venture south of the border, maybe someday .
I have some really good friends met through this section on the forum, keep your eye out for other meets which may suit you.

*GULP!* Just done a check...the online booking will only allow 3 nights at a cost of £43.50. Would have been ok for two nights but not for me I'm afraid.

bob if you register with them you get 20% off use code 3 and think if u call u can book 1 night or as many as u like david
I think online it said if you book in advance you can get a discount or something and I think that was accounted for in the price quoted. The price itself (£14.50 a night with electric) is good but I can't do 3 nights (I don't think).
I have just cancelled a trip I had booked for this week because I discovered the campsite wouldn't be suitable so by May I will be gagging for a trip if I haven't been before then - lol. I will check nearer the time...thanks for that.

Loads to do if it hasn't all been washed away by the recent weather down there
