On the same lines as the previous post, I would also recommend the Caravan Club's local centres. Each county has it's own centre, which organize a rally most weekends. They usually start on a Friday night from about 4.30 pm until Sunday afternoon. My wife and I spent many years ralling before moving to France and if there is one thing we miss most it's ralling.
If you decide to try it, don't give up one the first attempt because most people are in groups so it may take a few rallys before you find friends.
