I'm not sure about on here but I know our local CC and CCC have Xmas and new years rallies.

You don't say where you're based or what unit you have - I guess you may be fairly local to me? - but the short answer is 'no'.

Actual arranged meets don't happen now like they once did because the logistics are such a nightmare - someone to organise from the start, finding a suitably convenient site, dates to suit everyone attending, arranging for x number of pitches with a site owner, then people gradually drop out as time goes on etc - and it gets to the point where it's not worth bothering.

What people tend to do now is book somewhere they themselves want to go to then post on here where and when and invite others to join them if they wish, but booking their own pitch. If you want to meet up with others then that may be your best bet; it would be helpful if you could tell us a bit about yourself though

I'm actually hoping to go away for Christmas and/or New Year myself but it will be very last minute if I do, subject to site availability and of course the weather.

We are off to Wisbech again this Christmas and New year.....only £17.pn....including awning, EHU, water tap and TV point on each pitch .....plus two fishing lakes...Total bliss....

I am not sure the locals would like you calling it a 'canal'. It's a river called 'Dawlish Water' also known as 'The Brook'

I camped at Cofton for New Year 2009/2010 and it was so cold there were icicles on the icicles. Hopefully this year will be warmer.
