Hi everyone.
I've been a bit elusive for a time and not posted since goodness knows when!
We had some amazing times a few years back with some lovely people we met on here but for various different reasons (ill health and relationship breakdowns mainly) a lot of my friends no longer camp 😞
So! We'd really love to meet some other like minded camping mad people to (hopefully) start some new friendships and create some more happy memories.

We are a married couple in our mid-late thirties (ok I'm 40 next year😱) With no kids (we don't have an aversion to kids though). We are in Essex but hubby doesn't mind a longish drive.
I am the avid camper and hubby kinda goes with the flow.
Please do let me know if anyone wants to arrange a good old fashioned meet I can guarantee a good time whatever the weather. 😀

Hey.

I'm quite new and have been looking for some camping buddies lately here also. I'm a tent loner and 37.

I'm based in Berkshire and happy to drive also.

I'm mainly involved in wild camping meets nowadays, on pretty basic sites, although I do still go to Bongo meets.

There doesn't seem to be loads of interest at the moment. To be fair this part of the forum never used to be very busy before.
It may be best if I just post where and when I'm going away and see if anyone wants to join.....

Hi john, hope you're well?
I'll never forget when you turned up at Deers glade with what can only be described as a bus!... Do you still have it?
Those were the days..... I also remember some amazing roast potatoes rustled up by your good self.

I'll definitely post when I next book somewhere. I'm also very keen to try some wild camping before I get too old lol so you never know, you might bump into me at one of your jaunts...

No, the bus has gone as i didn't like the 18mpg. I now have a Citroen Relay LWB.
Ah yes, the old roast spuds It's a long time since I did them.
You'll probably have difficulty wild camping in a tent. It's often on pub car parks and similar hard surfaces.

Yes it's still me.... that was a past life. 😕
My ex and I separated in 2013 and our lad still lives with him. sadly I don't see him very often now (not by choice I might add).
I met hubby in 2014 and we had a bit of whirlwind romance and got married in June last year (something I NEVER thought I'd do).
Suppose I should really change the username..... Unless the cat counts lol
