I had a day visit to this site to catch up the Deid Squirrel Gang and the Nutters.
Gimme Shelter is not your average site but more of a wild camping experience within a woodland setting with some open spaces and composting toilets. Camp fires are allowed. A really good site.
As I say it was just a day visit for myself and also met the Nutters Gang from south of the border for the first time.
I was made very welcome by all and you will never go hungry with these campers. There is always food on the go and plenty of it.
They had two kitchen tents with 3 ovens dotted around the main campfires with tarps above, it helps to keep the heat in and keep you dry..brilliant!
I am sure some of the members will remember the folks I visited from previous posts/pictures from the likes of the Red Squirrel site at Glencoe.
It was a day I really enjoyed among fellow campers and a really nice group of people.
You should give this site a try if you like wild camping or want to try it. It is listed on the Site search as Gimme Shelter just on the outskirts of Inverkeithing and Dunfermline.

Another great wee trip to the beautiful Gimme Shelter Campsite. It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves so much. Lots of smiles and laughter round the campfire...........
