There are a few singles groups . I can't remember the names . But I'm sure some one on here will
If you don't find one there are a lot of solo caravan or motorhome people that use the c&cc club . My sister stores her van at one and when we have been to Blackmore near Malverns there are always solo campers there . I think the c&cc club would be good to meet people or make friends . They are a safe and a friendly club to go to or even just try out . You don't have to join if you won't to just try them out first .
Good luck

Dick, Welcome. Once you get out there and meet like minded people, you wont need special sort of groups. That first "good morning" once on site usually starts a conversation with other owners and friendships soon start from the common interest we all share. Have noticed in my experience that having a dog seems to get people talking to each other. We dont have a dog but found on the whole campers of all types are a friendly bunch, and like a chat. Plenty of Adult only sites around, which is what we go for when we can.
Or this sub forum on here might help. click

Welcome dick2 , I'm with geoffprinter on most of what he tells you , and as you say , this is a beautiful country , I always travel on my own nowadays , I have more spare time than my lady friend , plus I think as you get older you tend to know exactly the kind of places and activities that will suit yourself , I personally prefer to be on or close to the coastal regions , and my favourite coast in England is Somerset , round North Devon and some of Cornwall .
There is plenty of good helpfull and friendly advice on this forum ,
Good luck on your intended trips

and the Phoenix group

Not camped with either so can't say what they are like.

The Phoenix club insists that you must have no partner, either live-in or otherwise.
I looked at joining one of the singles camping groups when I sadly lost my wife of 46 years to cancer last year, but after investigating a few I decided I'd just "do my own thing".

When I was at DelaMere Forest in 2016 there was a group all in vans, mixture of single and couples. They were moving on to another campsite and were on the road for about 3 or 4 weeks. Can't remember what they were called though but there are groups out there
