I'm just looking to see if there are any CCC members that will be camping at Wells, between 22nd of July and 13th of August.

I like Wells-next-the Sea. Unusual harbour and beach. We called in there when we were at Sandringham C&CC site last year, after visiting old friends we knew from when we lived in Norfolk.

We never go anywhere between the middle of July and the end of August though. Much too expensive and too crowded then.

We always stay at the Notts DA site at the high school, it does get busy during the carnival week, but it's the best time to be there, as there so much going on, and at £10 a night it's cheap as chips.

I can whole heartedly recommend carnival week, usually the first week of August, it creates a really great buzz, especially the entertainment on the green in the evenings.

We go as a family every year, which is nice, but we would like to expand our social camping circle.

thanks for the recommendation, I'd be by myself but always good to have someone to chat to now and again :-)

Have you tried the equivalent site at Sheringham H'Sch?
Worth a visit when the steam weekend is on at the station.

We have tried the Sheringham high school site, it's not too bad, the facilities are not as good as Wells, but still a nice place to visit.
