Hi. We're an easy going couple, who have been campervan wilding since we bought our first van and made it useable for camping back in 2011.
We are so lucky to have been able to get a 6 berth motorhome now and love getting in it and finding some really nice places to park up and chill.
We've just been through a scary time with the better half (the wife) going through cancer and just before that I went and had a heart attack, and now have angina on top of my other disabilities..
So we really do know how important it is to enjoy life while we have it.
We're always happy getting to know others that have a passion for beautiful views or just quiet places away from the rat race of life.
If you have your own van, or even canvas if you prefer. It would be just nice to meet up and make new friends with people that enjoy the same..
If you don't have canvass or a tin tent (van) you are welcome to still join us in ours.
Due to my disabilities i'm unable to walk far so would love to meet and get to know others that might enjoy going for walks with the better half.
She really enjoys a nice steady wander but it's not much fun on her own... If you want to know anything else just ask...
So you know in advance, we're not drinkers, but not bothered if you like to have a drink.
We are smokers. (Trying to quit) and sometimes we enjoy a herbal relaxing smoke.
Hi both! Nice to see another couple similar to us 😊 my husband has mobility issues and also had a heart attack so doesnt like to walk to far which leaves me having to walk the dog alone... neither of us drink much would rather have a smoke and chill by a campfire... as we dont drive we are limited to sites near public transport but that does leave plenty of options! We are planning our next trip for a few days week commencing 28th August not yet decided where to go or what days but currently looking... any suggestions? Look forward to chatting soon..... Claire and Mike x
We are away in our caravan at the site at Moffat. Over the past four years we have been here a lot. It is 54 miles from home and ever since my wife had surgery for cancer it has been a haven for us away from our worries.
Anne had a knee replacement last autumn and is still not walking all that well. We used to love hill walking. Now we walk slowly on level ground but we love being away in our caravan.
------------- We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.
Hi, yes it's really nice to have a place that you can go when going through the difficult times of cancer. We have our little hide outs which we visit regular. We have just been to a nice place called Osmotherley (there is a campsite just down the road) It's a lovely walk round the reservoir and not hilly or uneven. Def worth a visit if you get up this way..

Hi to you both.
Did you get anywhere nice for your few days way? We went out to a couple of places and had some nice steady walks. If you ever get up our direction let us know and we could maybe try and get somewhere close by, we're happy to pop kettle on and enjoy a natter..
Can't really give you any ideas as we're not really sure about public transport and places you like..
Hops to chat later, C & H..
We would love to join anyone on a campsite sometime. We are from Blackpool but often travel over the border. We both like a drink or two at night - a good chat and a few laughs. We are also non smokers.

We sound a lot like you.
I am going to order a window sticker and that might be one way members on here could meet up. We are going to Monifiefth tomorrow despite the forecast for snow.
