Hi every one. decided to take myself and dog on camping trip,anyone got any tips or recommendations to help me plan as this will be my first solo trip.Coastal walks in wales or devon areas prefaired.

Check where you are allowed to wild-camp, I believe it is only certain parts of Scotland that are legal to do so.

I think in Scotland wild camping is by right, with a few exceptions for specific locations, but in England (and presumably Wales) it's prohibited without landowners permission and with some conditions imposed.
Lake District, it's permitted but only above the highest fell wall, which often puts you in a place where terrain was just too difficult to build a wall any higher up the fell! Long hard slog up a rough hillside to get to most of those permitted places I'd say, probably aimed more at the climbers and high fell walkers as a facility to their pastime than casual campers.
If you stay well away from paths and roads try and find a hidden spot it's bliss. Wild camped before myself and it very relaxing. Remember to take a few scented poo bags for your waste needs and take away with you.
