Solo/One Parent Campers Meet 16–18 Sept 2005 - Shrewsbury

Following the interest shown in a “singles” meet we have booked a small site in Ford Heath, Shrewsbury for our first “Solo and One Parent Campers” meet. Although predominately booked for solo and one parent campers we would welcome any UKCS members who may be interested in attending, the main emphasis being to welcome peeps who are nervous of camping alone or alone with children but would like the opportunity to “have a go” in a warm, friendly and safe environment.

Facilities include Toilets/Showers/Laundry room and dogs are welcome on a lead.  There is a small play area for the under 8’s and an adjacent field suitable for football, rounders etc. Pitch fees are £8.00 per unit per night without EHU and an additional £2.00 per night for EHU based on two adults.  Where there is only one adult the oldest child will go free.  Children aged 16+ are counted as adult and there is a charge of 50p per night for children 5 – 15 with up to 5 yr olds going free.  Included in the pitch fees are awning or gazebo however, the site owner has requested that Gazebos be of a reasonable size and kept away from neighbouring pitches. Discounts may be given if we get more than 10 units and there is a cheap rate of £5.00 per night for any pitches booked where only a small 2 man dome is used.

Somehow I managed to get my name on the list of the previous thread even though I said I would come if the OH would agree to me being away without her.........

But having read the description we shall prolly come along if the '2 adults' are allowed to a singles meet..........we are a very open couple!!!!!!
