Not looking good for sites close bye at the moment still waiting for one or 2 to get back to me.

Looks like we may have to look further afield.

No further forward yet they must all be too busy.

Going down to Dundee next week to work so will go accross the Tay Bridge and give them a good shake.

If that fails I may have to try Monifieth or some of the other sites up the Coast Road.

Will only take tents if the weather is fine at the time as the area that the tents get pitched is very flat and any water does not get away.

They are £14:00 per night at the time of the Airshow as we found out after staying there on the Sunday.

Mind you Kinkell Brae's was £15:50 so not a bad rate.

Just back from working in Dundee.
Took the Wife down and we stayed at Kinkell Brae's then did a little tour round the sites at night to try and get something sorted out for a meet.

Tayport is fully booked
Kinkell Brae's does not take tents
Clayton no longer takes tents
Cairnsmill Tents and tourers are at opposite ends of the site i.e. about 200 metres apart.

How far are any interested parties willing to travel to the Airshow before I go looking for more sites?

After discussions with Papapip we have come up with further options.

• Dunnikier at Kircaldy 28 miles from Airshow.
• Shell Bay Elie 16 Miles from Airshow.

I need to know numbers for interest before contacting these sites.

So post if you are interested stating your prefered location, remember this meet does not have to be all about the Airshow as there will be those that would like another meet that are not interested in the show.

Looks like this one had died a death as there have been no replies for numbers interested since my last post 4 days ago.

Other than that the campsites I have contacted havn't bothered to get back to me so looks like its a no go.

I will however be going as we have not missed an airshow for years and hope to get my site booked this weekend for the long weekend.

Hopefully once the sites quiten down from the peak period we will be able to get at least one more meet in before the caravan has to get winterised.
