Hi Dave & co.

Thanks for another lovely meet. Looking forward to our return for new years eve (again). totally agree with drazzi's comments about the facilities. if steve decides to expand further then improved facs will need to become a priority.

Yasmin absolutely loved it, especialy "shakin her maracas" at saturday nights country and western, scavenger hunt with Amy and emma (Ali J) and the rounders organised by Mrs R.

Hats off to those who manged the yard of pink, Ste who "won" the welly-wanging. Stuart for organising the scavenger hunt ( no more snails please) Mrs R for organising the rounders and welly wanging and to Emily for leading the singing at the BBQ. We were bloody whistling "coming round the mountain" on the way home. yes  my nana is still at the chippy  lol

Oosis, you should have scavenged some batteries out of a scavenger hunt bag. Half of the worlds population of AA batteries (along with similar numbers of snails) were collected on saturday. lol

Looking forward to seeing you all again at our next meet, will try to fit one or two in before new year, have to see how work pans out.

Would like to say a big thank you to Ali, Colin, Emma and Amy for making Yasmin's weekend so special ( hope she wasn't too much of a pain)

Hi

I have just logged on after a very stressful weekend dut to extemely private circumstances and one which i feel i do not need to explain to anyone!

I am quite disgussted that members feel the need to Name and "shame" other members who for various reaons are not able to attend meets. sometimes the unpredicable happens and there is nothing that can be done about it. i didn't attend the meet due to very personal reasons and do not feel ashamed about doing so.

shaming someone becasue they simply can't attend is disgusting and very immature.

i was rather gutted that i couldnt attend but after reading these posts it makes me wonder if i really would have enjpyed myself anyway. it seems you all discussed those people who could not attend!!

and as for ratty knowing who we are and dealing with us it makes us appear to be children !!

Hi Foxy, I think the emotion of your weekend's stress has gotten the better of you.  No one should have been named and shamed that is agreed and there shouldn't be a big deal unless loads of people didn't turn up as happened with loopy's meet.  I think ratty made that comment to appease all parties.  I hope your personal stuff gets sorted with a happy ending.

Hi Foxy, please don't think that that non attendence was a topic of conversation at the meet, we were not aware of any ill feeling and certainly don't think that anybody should feel compelled to explain or discuss their personal life.

We all have occasions in our life where things happen beyond our control

If others feel the need to name and shame lets hope they never find themselves in a similar position

Hope thing are sorted for you now and look forward to seeing you at a future meet

Hi Foxy. I can categorically say that this was NOT about you not turning up. It is about someone who has booked at least 3 times & not turned up. I also think that this is unacceptable as people could have missed out on the reserve list. We all accept that there are times when a "no show" can't be helped but there is a limit. Please don't take it as being aimed at you as it wasn't., & anyway we missed ya!!!!

Hope to see you at another meet soon.

Hi Foxy

I can echo what G3ROL has said. I know that it is out of character for you not to turn up and that any comments were defintely not aimed at your good self. Yes you were really missed but I can also assure you that we did not waste any of the weekend being immature discussing those who didn't turn up.  In fact I don't know who didn't turn up apart from yourself coz we were looking forward to seeing you all again and realise that there must have been a reason why you didn't.

We had a fantastic weekend and I for one are really sorry that you are having an awful time at the moment.  I hope things are now sorted out for you and that we see you v.soon.

Hope to see you soon and back here on the forum.

Hugs & Luvs xxxx

Foxy

I an one of the voices who said name and shame, perhaps I should have made it clear the name and shame was aimed at a person who has not shown 3 times. I fully accept there are more important things in life than a caravan rally, a crisis, by defination almost, can rear it's ugly head in a trice and you have to deal with it there and then. To miss 3 times tho, now that's a lot of crisis. Not changed my mind tho, folks put a lot of work into organising these rallies and at least poeple could show a little respect and just let them know IF POSSIBLE they are not coming. I still say just name the person who did not show up for the 3rd time. Right had my twopennerth worth, am not getting invovled in  any arguments, backbiting or any other squabbles, if you think I am wrong, fine, go in peace and I hope you find happiness. (Old hippies eh!!!!!!!!)

i too do not want to argue about this topic i simply don't find it fair that those who for what ever reason couldnt attend have to feel ashamed. i undertand all the hard work that is required to arrange and set up the meets but i am also sure that when you book you are under no obligation to attend? i could be wrong!
