Hi All

As you know we are looking into meets for next year and i have received quite a few emails regarding sites people think would be good and i'm in the midst of booking a couple, but i'm stuck on dates!

Has anyone got a special weekend that they would like to hold a meet or dates they think would be good ? let me know

26th - 29th May 2006. The Three Magpies, Melksham, Wiltshire

The touring caravan park has all mod. cons, including electrical hook ups. Only 400yds from the Inn is the Avon & Kennet Canal, offering lovely walks and/or cycling on the tow paths. The whole length is now navigatable, and there is the annual canoe race.  (4pm departure). Click here for further details

14th July - 22nd July 2006. Deer Park Inn, Dartmouth, South Devon

For out second South Devon meet we return to a park set amidst Devon's outstanding natural coastal beauty. Yes, people need to accept the fact that if we want to stay up late into the night, we may be better off on "Field" type sites rather than the all singing all dancing types.

Lets face it, we're pretty good at making our own entertainment!

i thought about fields too.  most vans will run on gas and most campers can do without leccy so maybe a farmers field in the middle of the country  somewhere.

Yes i cover Cornwall but its a bit of a nightmare! its such a long way for people to drive it would have to be school hols and we all know how hard it is to get something in Cornwall during the hols!  I will continue to hunt them out though

Id love a meet in cornwall but its way too far to travel for a weekend, i suppose its ideal for a week meet during a school holiday though

June is filling up, lol!  Not too bad the rest so far (I was only joking btw).

A good point has been made by others about good motorway links as travelling too far is an issue for a lot of people for a weekend and the more accessable the site, the more attenders we will get.

Have you considered Wellington Country, Park Deer Park Meadow rally field?  Thats quite central in the region.
