Used to live up the road at Lyneham.
There is a Sainsburys and Somerfield in Melksham although parking can be bad on a Saturday. Sainsburys has a petrol station as well. There is also an ALdi. I can also recommend Boomerang soft play for kids if the weather is not good to us. Biggest soft play in the area. Nevr been to the park in Melksham just driven past - it looks quite good for kids but dunno where to park to get into it.
Trowbridge is 10to 15 minutes drive away and has a huge Tesco and an Asda. Trowbridge is Wiltshires County Town and had loads of shops. Wilkos, Boots, Woollies,Argos, Millets,Monsoon, McKays,Dotty Ps, New look, Peacocks, Greggs Bakers (just to name a few). Also in Trowbridge is a Lidl but more importantly my fave camping shop called BCH Camping Has everything and loads of tents & TTs on display. . NIce park in Trowbridge too. Its behind Wilkos. And my sister lives there, although I'm not sure how she would feel about a field load of campers turning up for coffee and to dry out. lol.
SusieWong will be your expert on Devizes.
Hope this helps. Any more questions just post but I will be leaving here at lunchtime.
See you there - hope it dries up long enough for us to get our tent up.
