Hi Julie

Just checked the calendar and Johns working that saturday ,

so looks like we won't be able to make it, thats one of the draw backs for posties they only get one in six weekends off so we really make the most of them and do mad things like driving up to derbyshire! 

we reallly enjoyed it, have been totally knackered this week though so nice chiilled weekend this one get the bbq out i think!

 nevermind maybe we can do a meet together sometime Basil would love that,

 we need somewhere more local in the autumn, then John could take his bike and join us after work cos he finishes by 10am usually, obviously not the same weekend as the halloween one.

Whilst you have resurected this thread I will tell you something I thought was hilarious regarding Callow Top. A friend of mine stayed there with her hubby & another couple on May bank holiday, & they were told off at 11pm at night for laughing,  This fella (security) just strolled into their trailer tent and told them off, he said we don't mind you laughing, but could you do it one at a time & not altogether !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Shelley my mate thought he was joking & cracked up, but she said he was deadly serious, she said they won't be staying there again.

I hope you do get to come to the Halloween meet, now that one will be a scream.

Its a lovely site, with some lovely walks for Basil. I'm going a few days earlier to that one, & I think it's only about a fiver a night without leccy, so it would be worth you coming all that way if you were going to make more than a weekend of it.

How did the meet go, the weather was great wasn't it. We were at Manor Wood, with Carol & Paul, Donna, & Col & Kelly. What a good laugh. Hope your both well. I went and had the laser treatment......WASTE OF B----- TIME.Still trying though, but it's DAM hard. Take care love, and hope to see you in Oct, if John has not been in for his op.He won't be able to caravan for 8 - 10 weeks after the op.
