welcome motorway to ukcs.. im sure you will enjoy many many fun filled camps...
We went on our first meet in march of this year, I love it, my wife loves it and my kids love it...i think by the end of the year we will have been on 11 or 12 so be warned its addictive.
------------- 24 beers in a case..24 hours in a day. coincidence...i think not.
we have only been on 3 meets, and its brilliant the people you meet are great and it feels like family, what a way to spend your weekends, must warn you though it gets addictive, in a great way...
Bought my first tent in July06 and spent 2weeks in Cornwall. Bought a smaller weekend tent as soon as I got back and been to different sites every other weekend since, mainly South Lancashire and Derbyshire. Can't wait for next years meets to be posted... they sound like a hoot!!!
I can see myself getting addicted already.
Every weekend away is like a mini holiday..... I'm sure my couch is feeling neglected, we seem to have drifted apart.
Mike.
------------- A whole new life beyond my TV and sofa. Camping..."The Return of my Youth"

Hi everyone and thanks for the welcomes, sorry I've been so slow but we've just got back from another super weekend away (this time Henllys Touring & Camping Park,Towyn, review submitted). We're now sure we're going to go to a meet ASAP. I'll keep an eye open for weekend ones within 2hrs Cheshire, hopefully I can find one that I'm not working on (next year I'm free every weekend Yippeeee). Any suggestions? I come with Funkey-Mrs-Munkey and 2 chimps(B-12yrs, G-13yrs)

Or send Mrs funky munkey and the chimps alone its all very safe and friendly...
