I would hope not. Just imagine releasing the hand brake when you're on a slope and the clutch pedal is depressed.
------------- Two drifters off to see the world.
I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.

Electric handbrakes automatically release when certain configurations are met, it varies according to the manufacturer.

Ditto Saxo's comment.
My Citroen car releases the electric handbrake when clutch depressed AND a gear is selected, BUT not until accelerator pedal depressed too. -Basically in a position to start driving! But it also has 'brake hold', so delay in release until car starts to move.
There are a host of safety interlocks that allow or disallow the release! - don't think it will release if a door is open etc.
CERTAINLY nothing as simple as JUST depressing clutch! - IF it is doing that, suggest there may be a system fault that needs attention - IT'S DANGEROUS!

OP read the manual asap.
I have electronic handbrake on my car, but its an auto box. Select drive or reverse and it releases as soon as the accelerator is used.
It also has a auto hold function, but this needs selecting every time the car is started.
