Hi
I have search on the forums for similar but I can't seem to find one which answers my Q

Whilst away on ehu then a day later off grid the pump kept running even without opening the taps. Since home I have filled the fresh water tank by approx 50% then when I turn on the pump it's filling the truma boiler but it's not stopping when it's full.
I have had issues with the switch clicking all the time which I sort of know how to fix this by opening the furthest cold water tap (shower) and adjust the tap until it stops clicking, but this is proving difficult when I turn the tap to hot.
My main question is why isn't the pump stopping when I know it normally only takes it a minute to fill it but it's going on for much longer and stops when I only turn the pump switch a little anti clockwise.

I'm wondering if something is broken

Can anyone help ?

Tia

Thank you 😊

Check there’s no water coming out underneath the vehicle. Not saying it’s the reason, but our pump keeps running when the valve on the hot water tank has opened in a cold spell.

Two potentials there that I can see:

1) If you have taps with microswitches, one of the switches is misbehaving and/or wiring fault. That would keep the pump powered on.

2) If you have a pressure switch system (no microswitches on the taps, but a permanently pressurised system, tripping the pump on when pressure slightly drops), either the pressure switch itself is not tripping out at correct pressure (most are adjustable), or pressure is leaking out of the system, this can be a conventional leak (usually make themselves fairly obvious with dripping water/puddles where there shouldn't be) OR a non-return valve is leaking and releasing pressure within the system but with no external sign of leakage.

It can be something as simple as a small piece of debris that's lodged on a valve seat that stops it truly sealing off.

Check all connections it might not be leaking it might be drawing air.
