Don't laugh, however, after having the van since March/April 2021, I just discovered the Webasto heating system in my van is capable of heating up the water tank without heating up the rest of the van, by not allowing hot air to be circulated via the control panel, DOH!

I am camping without EHU overnight when I visit a couple of Friends, parking a short distance away from their house, so that I don't have to drive back to the campsite after spending an evening with them eating and drinking.

I would need to freshen up the morning after, hence the need to check if I would be able to have hot water for a shower without having to go into their house, and I can, much to my relief!

I just switch on the heater and de-select the fans and it will heat up the water tank alone!

Don't feel too 'dumb' about it, 6 years on, I'm still discovering things about my caravan that TBF are undocumented and I discover by sheer chance!

... who'd have guessed there was a small dustpan and brush 'hiding' in the lid of the door mounted waste bin! ... only discovered when the lid got mucky and I was cleaning it!

Who'd have guessed the 'fitted' front drawer/table unit between the benches wasn't 'fitted' at all! ... only discovered it just sat there under gravity (and it's own not inconsiderable weight) when it started wobbling because of a broken support!

Who knew that the plug/mains socket for the fridge loitered unseen in the dark depths of the 'pan locker' beneath the cooker .... only discovered when I was investigation why the stupid 'push to open' catch on the door would never stay closed in transit!

.... who knows what further mysteries lie as yet undiscovered!

Thanks for that and it makes me feel less of a fool about not knowing about the inner workings of my van!

Only just discovered the diesel heater in my camper has a thermostat control! It was set to 34deg too.
