Go for a memory foam topper, you can get them made to measure. We bought from NEC show and it cost about £120.00 as had to have a corner cut off. The standard one for our double bed at home cost about £40.00. just google it as there are a few companys out there doing them. J x

We have a VW T4 campervan and find space is at a premium. We looked at the memory foam mattress toppers (such as from Argos) or the Duvaley but they don't roll up small enough to fit in our 'van.

We use a sleeping bag unzipped and laid flat as a topper over the cushions that make our double bed. It works fine!

Answer depends partly on why you want a topper - warmth? extra comfort? to hold cushions together? to cover older cushions that aren't so appealing to sleep on? Agree about space being a problem for memory foam. We got a mattress topper out of our supermarket, in the section with the pillows. It is a thin but warm padding, has elastic at the corners that go under the cushions; the elastic holds the cushion jigsaw together, and stops the topper moving around.  It packs away into a small zipped bag like a sleeping bag. Cost about £20. Sleeping bag is a good idea, though in our case we wanted the topper to hold the cushions together as they kept moving apart in the night and we'd find ourselves wedged in the gap.

We've got a T4 SWB campervan and weren't happy with the comfort of the rock n roll bed. After looking on forums we decided to go for the Duvalay gold. When rolled up it fits neatly behind the seat/bed. We are really pleased with it and sleep very well on it! Everyone is different in how much and what they take with them. We also invested in a silk filled duvet which doesn't take up as much room as a down one.
