I just put up my painted sign, this site is mine !!!!!!!

Put on an extra blanket !!!

Wave at everyone in any type of motorhome !!!!! I often wave at white van man by mistake. Often get a two finger sign back.

Latest caravan club craze is the Sat Dish set up, watched them for hours & hours trying to set these monstrosities up, even when pouring with rain. I even had one ask if he could put his three legged stand and dish on my pitch...My reply is unprintable. Get a life.....leave the bloody telly at home !!!!!!

We made our own sign Viv, well Jan did lol.

We got a photo of our van printed out, then she took it to work and had it laminated. On site we stick a short bamboo cane in the ground and tie the sign to it with a shoelace. You would have seen it at Devizes, if we had used it that is lol.

Here, here!

Got a drive away (free standing) awning which we pitch if we stay more than 1 night. That certainly reserves your pitch.

Generally only wave to other VW campers as we don't get much reaction from other 'types' of camper/motorhomes.

If we fire up our old Propex heater you can usually hear it within a 4mile radius

I think your own home made signs will be far better than the one I bought,as I said before it is very flimsy,I think the laminated version is a great idea.

I have laminated two copies of my sign and sellotaped them together on top and sides/back to back. I have bent and inserted a wire coat hanger at the bottom between the two laminates and straightened the hook which will stick in the ground.

Cork on end of hook for safety when not in use.

Sign up to Caravan Club and the Camping and Caravan Club.
Until recently we had a 1990 Toyota Hiace popup and have never experienced any snobbishness.
I say hello to everyone and if they don't respond who cares?
Camping is like every walk of life. You'll meet some odd people and a lot of nice people. Just that most campers, caravan, tent or motorhome are chilled out and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle.
