Hi, can someone reccommend a driveaway awning suitable for a Ford Duetto? The Movelite XL looks suitable, but I'm not sure.

We've just this morning taken delivery of a Movelite "Square",for using with our Duetto. (we'd ordered from Camping International,Gilligham at the NEC show)
Will have to wait for the wind to die down before I give it a try but going by the one on show at the NEC,it looks a vast improvement on the old Movelite..far more upright walls ,giving a roomier feel.
The Movelite XL did look way to big for our vehicle though..
When/if I get some reasonable weather,I'll erect our "Square" and put some photos in my profile so you can gauge for yourself.

Hi Ernie, if ever you are up this way, i wish you would come and visit. Liverpool has come a long way since 1969, and it deserves the title of city of culture,of europe, now i know there is a lot of people out there that may have a different opinion, but we only have lived here for the past 2 years, my job was down south for 37 years. and the change we have witnessed is extraordinary, my mrs, wanted to come home to her roots.Anyway, going back to the awning, if you hit the web site ie. nr,awning, you will get an idea of what the it looks like, its the first pitcure on left on the left of the motorhome awnings, the colour seems different, but its the same one as i have , it is so new that the curtains have never been used. And by the way you will find me very easily, you don't have to hit all the wine bars in town. What the ? she has moved it again.

Hi, pepe63, thanks for your info, I look forward to seeing the photos of how it fits your Duetto. I measured our gutter and it was 210cm and the Nomad seemed to fit the bill, but not sure about the storage of those bent poles. Presumably one would carry the pack in the shower room until on site.
If you hurry up and erect yours you could test it for it's behaviour in the high wind forecast for tomorrow!!! Only kidding!
Ernie
Sorry Ernie..Still really havn't had the weather to try out the Movelite yet.Just out of interest, the pack size is 12"x12"x24" long(Which fits okay in the off-side settee locker).
I have put a couple of photos on our gallery,of our Outdoor Revolution Easi-porch,which is great little "stop-over awning"..If you can find one at the right price(I think we found ours on ebay, brand new, for about £85)it makes a nice little addition to your kit
Will post photos of the Movelite, when it's up...

Hi Ernie.
Tried the Movelite today..quite a good awning. One major drawback though,it doesnt fully cover the "travel" of the sliding door!(I suppose most awnings are the same though..I'd never really thought about it!)
( A little awkward to put up ,as the fibre-glass poles have shaped "shoulder" section, which needs to be fed through the pole-sleave .So it could do with two of you to put it up!)
Photos are in our gallery
