I personally have loaded all mine into my TomTom & Autoroute, but there are loads of sites here's one AIRES it is even in English now. If you do a search you can find ones to download for your GPS (if you have one) such as this one MORE AIRES or POIplace there are so many websites out there now just use Google to search for one you find easy to use.

That's the whole point - they don't provide everything - in fact they provide very little.

They do not have a bar, disco, shop, swimming pool, paddling pool, children's play area, toilets, showers, washing machine and (mostly) no electrical hook-up. Some families need these facilities and so aires are worse than useless.

For the two of us, we only need a electric hook from time to time and have no need of the other facilities mentioned above so good aires, not the overcrowded and noisy roadside rough and ready car-park type, suit us admirably.

I agree with both sides, aires are great when travelling, but if you have kids then you need to go to a campsite for a few days for them to have fun also. We usually stay a max of 4 days on a site, that is when the fridge/freezer runs low, so we just head for a new destination,

Generally we conbine the both, get the best of both worlds, can not see the point in paying for an over night stop.

WRT electicity - easy solution - get dual leisure battery, solar panels and inverter. this provides me with enough juice, - even to power the OH and now the daughters hair drier and striaghtners.!!
