I agree with both sides, aires are great when travelling, but if you have kids then you need to go to a campsite for a few days for them to have fun also. We usually stay a max of 4 days on a site, that is when the fridge/freezer runs low, so we just head for a new destination,
Generally we conbine the both, get the best of both worlds, can not see the point in paying for an over night stop.
WRT electicity - easy solution - get dual leisure battery, solar panels and inverter. this provides me with enough juice, - even to power the OH and now the daughters hair drier and striaghtners.!!
