bordercaz. we meet again. even if they have been taught properly it doesnt stop bad habit creeping in. i taught my wife to drive; the right way, but she has started this habit of late . its not just a Pond peculiarity either, other guys i know have noticed it too, particularly during three point turns. I was drawing attention to the fact that some people just make life hard for themselves when they dont have too. dont get me wrong i quite like power steering, unless it goes wrong, then its just an expensive toy. it made the volvo estate i had recently a piece if cake to reverse park. however in my 31 yrs of driving most makes of car built late 50s to eighties and a fair few vans too, i ve just never come across a vehicle it took two people to manouvre; perhaps there was a fault in the steering some where, something seizing up, or if it did have power steering which wasnt working, that would make it seem like a tank, thats happened to me too !

pete1946; read your post about this HHO with interest, but have absolutely no idea what it is; please enlighten.
Hi JP,this is from a earlyer post I put on,
I made one a bit like this one in the video but a bit cruder,I am now going to make another one from some stainless 1mm sheet, with a bubbler,I used a pickle jar,on a battery charger it drew just over 5 amps so not that much draw,I want one to draw about 10/12amps,my van normaly does26/28 mpg on a run, yesterday I had to go to boston,(linc`s)to collect a fridge for my son,I filled up at asda in nottingham, and had OH,my old mum& 2 grandkids with us and was going to make a day out for us all,we left Nott`m,swithed the HHO genny on with a switch I had resting on the dash,we went to bosten, then to Skegness(packed)and then to Mablethorpe (dead) and then back to nottingham,(switching the HHO jenny off when stopped),when I got back to nottingham, about 8.30pm I went back to Asda and filled up again,it took £31,so heres the calculation,£31 divided by £113.99 Ltr = 27.19 Ltrs, divided by 4.54 =5.99 gallons,206 miles trip divided by 5.99 gallons =34.39 Mpg overall, about an increase of 18/19% the vid is below is of the crude one I made, but I am now going to make one with all the other bits needed, look on the net and just google HHO and you will see a lot of Info.
there is also someone on the motorhome fact forum that it running one on a diesel van.and he has increased his MPG.
heres the video.

------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
Pete.

hi bordercaz, so we meet again; actually my wife was taught properly, by myself, but still this bad habit has crept in, and its not just a Pond peculiarity either other guys i know have noticed the same thing. the point i was trying to make was why people ,and ladies in particular for some unknown reason, make life harder than it has to be. as for your camper, perhaps there was something amiss with the steering, a part seizing up perhaps.i've driven most cars built from late 50s to early 80s over the last 31 yrs and a fair few vans too, but just never come across one that took two people to manouvre . i know when power steering plays up a car can seem like a sherman tank, happened to me on an old vauxhall viscount. i'm not averse to power steering either when it behaves itself, i had a volvo estate recently which was a piece of cake to reverse park; you could steer it with one finger.
