Yes - come to think of it have only visited Wales once, that was a long time ago... the world is now our oyster ( not quite but the thought is good lol )
Hi Lally
Hope you got your van picked up ok.
We have a campervan and go away all the year round. Unfortunately as we both work and not generous holiday allowances we make ours a Saturday night. We are in the Caravan Club as they have more sites open all the year round and tend to use electric hook up in the winter. The CC late availability section on their website is really helpful as we rarely book much in advance apart from special trips.
We also try to use sites where we can have a walk either into a village or just around and about to save driving once on site.
We might see you out on the road as my Mum and Dad live in Northumberland.
Don't buy too much too soon is my best advice. A corkscrew/bottle opener is an essential lol and a few board games help pass the time if it rains.
Have fun
We picked up the keys last friday and brought it home for a couple of hours to put some things in ready for next weeend and give it own little clean - got a few funny looks off the neighbours but its safely tucked away again in storage till next week
We are the same with holidays- my husband works long hours and our eldest son is big into football so plays most saturdays- which gives us sat afternoon to get away somewhere local
We are going to def join caravan club this week and maybe your parents can recomend some places for us to visit in northumberland- i am looking forward to visiting as originally am from down south and although things are on my doorstep i have never had the opportunity to go there.
Have got corkscrew lol was my first purchase- along with my wine glasses
Well i'm sat on CC site Burrs Counrty Park Bury at the moment, also if your into steam trains these run daily along the bottom of the site, open all year has about 90 hardstandings + firm grass, this is a fairly new site being about 2 yrs old, oh & the main thing for us on any site, is the LOO'S ARE SPOTLESS
my 2 boys would love the steam trains have just spent the last 4 days in Chertsey, think they would have been happy just to sit and watch the planes all day lol
Hi, have you looked at Whitewater park? It's at Stockton on Tees close to the tees barage and Teeside park. Not to far to go from Durham for a quick weekend away, lot's of use it during the winter as it's only 20 mins down the road from us. Lot's of hardstanding pitches.
