Hi CG,
Your plans sound great, although I hate the phrase "learning curve" that's what it will be when you do this with the MH for the first time. We are planning to do the Lakes sometime in the future, but as we are still MHVirgins, we are starting with the wider spaces first of all until we get used to the big van.
Someone mentioned on here about MH's being restrictive, but hey, I would rather tour the Lakes in a MH than pulling a caravan behind us! Ideally you want to just leave the MH and be able to walk back and forward to the towns/villages etc.

does look lovely but a tad worried about access in the motorhome. May explore that way though!
