Just your normal "as home" sleeping arangements really. If your have any MH worth its salt it will have a comprehensive heating, either the Truma blown air or the Alden "radiator" system or both.

Never been to cold, just turn it up or put both on!!

We DO have Truma Blown heating - but why use our Gas ?

that is up to you, you use gas at home dont you, so why is it different when away. We do not have that issue when on EHU as the Alden system works on either gas, electric or both

It depends on how comfortable you want to be, the last thing I would want is the cover the size of a mountain on top of me - but each to their own, thats what makes the world go around

We don't bother with the Truma overnight as we dont like listening to the fan, just buy yourselves a cheap sweat shirt and jogging pants, use them as PJ's, and just use a normal mid range tog duvet. Works for us, never been cold overnight, and if by chance Yorkshire gets warm overnight, (unlikley this weekend I've seen the forecast) you can kick the covers off.

we use a small oiled filled radiator leave it on low all night lovely and warm we got it from argos about twenty pnds

Although we make up the double bed in our campervan, we have two single Coleman Hampton sleeping bags which are really nice and cosy, even during colder nights. This means that OH (who doesn't like to be hot in bed, which isn't to say that he isn't hot in bed ) can sleep how he wants to and I can snuggle down inside my sleeping bag with it pulled up over my nose.

We also have a double blanket which we put over the top of us if it's really chilly, which, again, OH can move off him if he's too hot.

We also put internal thermal blinds on the front windows, which really helps. We left them off one night and we really noticed the difference. Brrrrr!

From Scotsbob

We have 2 x 52oz sleeping bags which we use summer & winter. Although in summer 1 is usually as top duvet.  In winter we use both, which is usually quite warm enuff.  2 years ago we were up nr Aviemore in Dec when it was minus 14 dgs and were warm although we had a fan heater set on thermostat low heat.  We usually sleep in shorts/T shirt

Hi to Scotsbob and everyone else!
Many thanks for all your interesting and funny replies
We wondered about going away over the winter months when it is extremely cold, but after reading Scotsbob's reply we think we will definitely get the thermal silver screens.
My OH is always "hot" in bed (I mean temperature wise!) and I don't like to be cold......fluffy bed socks are a real must with me! so all in all we might give it a go, plenty warm bedding, fluffy bed socks and a "hot" hubby! Surely we will be ok

Dunelm have some fabulously warm, but lightweight plush fleece blankets - about £19.  We usually have a summer weight quilt, & a couple of these blankets with us.

paying £3 to £3.50 per night for EHU... can you possibly use that much?

we have 4 12kw night storage heaters at home and use £2.50 maximum per 24hrs
