Have had our 54 reg symbol since May 07 but up until October had a few problems with an 'airconditioning system. Maybe one day will write a book about the escapades!!!!

We have now done around 2500 miles since mid October and been away pretty much every couple of weeks, for weekend getaways, staying mainly at CC sites. The last being at Crystal Palace for New Year and spent a wet/cold evening on Westminster Bridge watching the fireworks - GREAT!!

Off to Baltic Wharf next weekend. So am really enjoying the practical use of the Symbol. It also doubles up for my day car as well.  Hoping to take it to Europe later in the year, if we can get over the 'how long before it breaks again' syndrome. But I'm sure we will. Our other unit is a 10 yr old Mazda Bongo, been every where in that acorss Europe & UK, with never so much a thought about such breakdown matter. So why should we behave like this with a 20,000 miles old motorhome?

Anyway, quite agree that non of the new 2008 style Symbol type seem to be a patch on our lovely 'Hilda'. Not enough storage, fewer widows and just generally more 'tinny' was our impressions from the NEC in October.
