Best of luck Sara. I read somewhere recently that even with building regulations there is no such thing as a "right to light", contrary to popular belief. Therefore, with something moveable like a mobile home that claim should never work anyway. Can't see anyone would be able to object.

Thanks again everyone

It looks like we should complete the sale of my late parents house by the end of this week, so all being well, we may have our new motorhome in the next few weeks - depending on what we go for.

Hoping to catch up with some of you at some of the meets etc when we do have it.

Sara

We've unfortunately got similar neighbors.

They even went to the length of phoning the local scrapyard to come and take our van away which they did, returning it 1 1/2 hours later with £650 damage. I called the police who traced the phone call[after several weeks of complaints by me], arrested him but did not prosecute. apparently anyone passing can use his phone and he has a list of people who hate me. he even had the nerve to sue them for wrongful arrest. He lost.

The outcome is that even tho he lost I can not get compensation for the damage as it is an ongoing investigation so the police wont release the evidence, the police say the scrapyard are not at fault as they had a phone call so they wont pay up.

Now for the good bit. he is a holiday homer who lives approx 120 miles away from me and visits the property once a week. Didn't know I knew so many people where he lives, let alone that they all hated me!

watch out for sneaky things by the neighbour and enjoy the van

When I was still in the motorcycly / biker world, we used to visit the brother who had some "challenges" with neighboors who hated him for having a bike. Noise, smells, music, wrong friends, blablabla.

We ones had a gardenparty in his street, counsil approved and all, and invited those neighboors; they didn't come but they never bothered our brother again. We made sure nobody was actualy intimidated, however, our sheer pressence could have been looked upon as just that. But then again, there are always those that will complain about your happiness or wishes in life.

I think you are very brave, Sara and I take my hat off to you, anyday. Don't be bothered by the neighboors. Make good use of your posibillities and don't let the physical challenges in life get you down. You are also entitled for quality of life and if it doesn't come to you, go for it.

Cheers!
