I have been using waxoyl since the seventies. Restorations on Herald, MG Magnette ZB etc.. And a mate did a 100% restoration on a Stag in the early 90's. Loads of pressure injected Waxoyl. NOT ONE SPOT OF RUST to date.
In the appropriate places it works very well.
Protecting anything whether the underside of a motorhome or painting a windowsill is very similar.
1. Clean all the dirt off. Allow to fully dry.
2. Remove rust and treat residual rust if necessary.
3. Repair/Prime bare surfaces.
4. Apply appropriate topcoats (eg chassis specific enamel or lacquer or two pack paints)
5. Waxoyl spray in areas NOT directly in the line of water and grit coming off the wheels.
6. Waxoyl inside box sections.
7. Use stone chip in appropriate places.
8. Fit mudflaps.
9. Check every year and make good the inevitable bits of damage.
Like many things in life. Painstaking is the only way.
Make absolutely sure that you use the motorhome at every single opportunity!!
