Benidorm and the Costa Blanca North is still a relative hot spot and with an 85cm dish with autoskew and 0.2db gain LNB it is still possible to pull in BBC and ITV on a good day and of course all your SKY subscription channels .
Once past Valencia heading north the signal drops of rapidly .
If you read Sat and PC guys website as he has all the relevant info . If your mate is using Freesat he wont anything bar Sky news and a few rubbish channels but if you subscribe to SKY which I do total package you can get most subscription channels including movies and sky sports all over Spain .
BTW if you think I'm telling lies , what would I gain by doing that

Further to my previous post we're currently at Camping Marjal Crevillente south of Alicante with our caravan which only has a 65cm automatic Maxview dish and even with this smaller dish we're still getting most subscription Sky channels including Movies and Sport plus SKY 1, 2 Atlantic plus gold , watch and many more but no BBC or ITV

fitted one last year only time it failed to get a lock on was trees every where .good piece of kit .will be going to Brittney this year hope to watch tv .on my last van had a camos crank up manual tuning got lock on every time snipe chould be fine .fingers crossed

Hi mangetoute, are you looking at getting broadband by satellite TX/RX.

As far as I am aware, 80cm covers all of Europe, although without doing a Google, I can't say which satellite is used, what I do know is that it is an expensive option, maybe £200 per month or so, on the upside you would be able to get all UK TV, using a SlingBox set up with such a system.

Help is on it's way though, as SpaceX are to launch 4000! low earth satellites, which will provide Internet anywhere in the world, and the pizza box shaped antenna need only to be 10", now that will be a game changer.
